From shock-value crashes to the morning after
Regional PI Firm
RevBoo Creative, a bespoke commercial ad studio, replaced shock-value crash footage with a 'morning-after' psychological hook framework for a regional personal injury firm, improving 3-second hook retention to under 2.4s drop-off and achieving zero Meta/Google policy disapprovals while maintaining Bar Rule 7.2 compliance.

The Problem
The firm's media buyer was running direct-response spots built around violent crash imagery. Meta and Google policy flags kept disapproving the assets, thumb-stop was high but hold rate collapsed after second one, and qualified lead quality was poor — viewers were rubbernecking, not converting.
The Angle Pivot
RevBoo killed the wreck entirely. The new directive opened on the mundane morning after — coffee steam, a buzzing phone, the paperwork nobody warned you about. The hook targeted cognitive overload and dread recognition instead of shock, which survives retargeting on a second viewing and signals genuine intent rather than morbid curiosity.
Execution
We delivered a 13-second 9:16 master, three 6-second hook sprint cutdowns, and a 30-second retargeting variant with a FAQ objection handler. Every frame retained the Bar Rule 7.2 attorney-advertising disclosure and framed the call to action around legal rights, not guaranteed payouts.
Measurable Results
- 3-second hook retention
Average hold time improved to under 2.4s drop-off, up from immediate bail on shock footage.
- Cost per qualified lead
Reduced meaningfully once policy disapprovals stopped throttling delivery and spend.
- Policy compliance
Zero disapprovals across the new asset batch — no graphic injury imagery to flag.
Compliance Note
Bar Rule 7.2 attorney-advertising disclosure retained on every frame. No promise of financial settlement outcome; questions framed around agreement terms and legal rights.
